Major Golf Course Bunker Renovation / Improvement Project

The club's current course architect / consultant agreed on Tuesday 29 October to set up a bunker plan designed by Ken Carnary to use Fusion Golf Construction as a contractor. The team has been responsible for improving short game zones, long game warm-up ranges, the new 8th green at Edendry and the bunkers in the 6th hole in Drumbridge Nine. Bunkers have been a major weakness of our great golf course for a long time. The number of complaints from members about our bunker is constantly increasing. There is no balance in the amount and quantity of sand in each bunker. Lack of drainage greatly increases the time required for bunkers to be able to play and build poorly resulting in a lack of maintenance and overall playability. In addition, we have some bunkers that carry health and safety precautions because it is difficult to enter and exit.
